Need Your Feedback on This
OH Reenie!
I was so moved by your writing.
was it uplifting? yes
did it make me sad? yes
BUT BUT BUT remember I am watching my mother fight a loosing battle with cervical cancer, a fight she will not win. Some days it seems like such a heavy burden I can barely move myself from her side, from her smell, from the touch of her skin and other days I am so angry that I can barely stand to look at her. Ultimately it is on the days when I am the most angry that my work out is the most aggressive.
I LOVED reading how you were able to re-energize yourself as you strolled thru your mind and your memories of growing up with your Dad!
I can FEEL your love for him.
THAT makes it uplifting if for no other reason.
Galdto hear that your dad is doing better and is home.

Reenie,
The great thing about your writing is not whether it is up or down, it is that it is REAL. When I read your words I can feel your feelings. I can relate my own feelings about my own situations, different as they may be, to your feelings. While this is a terrific tribute to your Dad, it is also a testimony that only as we have adjusted our bodies to Normal, that we can begin to see the realities around us. You were able to see your father through new eyes of understanding, and through that, have been able to see yourself. Through your eyes and words we each see fragments of ourselves as well. Thanks for sharing your gift with us!
