Hey Y'all! The Queen of Yarn Balls is once again in the house! I know Connie missed me cuz I sent her an email and she said I should come on here and let y'all know what I'm up to. Well, lets see.... hmmmm.... nothing good or juicy to tell. I was 320 at surgery. Went down to 168, only 8 pounds short of exactly half of me. I was a smoking hot size 10 but because I was used to sort of bouncing off of things when I was big I got huge bruises when I was that small. I was always slamming into things on my hip bones and would have these ugly huge purple bruises. I worked at gaining some weight. Bruises like that can't be healthy. Did you 'hear' that? I actually had to work at gaining weight. That's the life! So, now I'm a healthy size 14 and weigh in at 195 most days. I'm comfortable here. I would love to have the extra skin removed but that's more a dream than any thing that could become a reality. I'm selling avon now. I started just after Thanksgiving and am doing well so far. I have people issues and can't hang at a new job for more than a few weeks before my people meter gets full and I wanna choke someone. I drive myself nuts. Selling Avon allows me to keep that to a dull roar. I never have to worry about my boss bugging me. I am my boss. I never have to worry about punching a time clock. I answer the phone and email and then once every two weeks I go out and do my deliveries. Thankfully the people meter is just about full by the time that last delivery is made so I get to go home and hide for another two weeks. The perfect job for me! My sister just had her surgery last month. She's doing fantastic. Don't tell her but I'm proud of her! She's got a lot of moxie! I sent her the first pair of pants that I bought the day I woke up and weighed under 200. She got them for Christmas. I think that's about it really. I have my dogs and my house and my cats, still. Oh wait! I finally got the turtle I always wanted! There, that sums it up. Have thought of y'all though and thanks to Connie, I found my way home! Love y'all, Me

HI My Friend!! Glad to see you home again. I will be back in AZ in just over a week. My Cell is 928-234-6826 & I will get in touch with you & we can do stuff once in awhile. I am certainly not a Size 14, but doing O.K. I think once I am back in AZ & with Billy\ will have a reason to lose weight again. LIving with Mom was certainly not it. Did not gain, but, did not lose either. I have had my dogs with me the past couple of days & they are very happy to be with their Mom. Not too crazy about the Condo living, but, will be back in AZ with me very soon. Hey glad you are doing so well, How is the hubby?? Take Care & Glad you posted. Ladybug Marilyn

Hubby is doing good. Well, sort of. He quit the casino to work out at American Woodmark. He actually went in and quit. I've never seen him so miserable. By then the higher ups figured out he could drive a fork lift and offered that position to him. He hated it but stayed on. Then just when he started looking for another job they asked him about his mechanic experience. He has almost 30 years, so they put him in that position. He's worked his way up and was doing good. The job is full time but not enough work keeps the company closing some weeks with only 4 days worked. The last two weeks and next week too they're only scheduling 3 days work and then on the 16th there will be a list of lay offs coming out. I hope he's not on that list but it's possible. Pins and needles for another two and a half days. Other than that though he gets better looking every day but what can I say, I like gray hair and wrinkles, just not on me! Boy oh boy did I luck out when I found him! Welcome home hun and hey, now you'll have a reason to lose weight again.... in AZ in summer you melt, fat melts. With a little effort some extra fat will melt....

Woohoo Gayle's back! I did miss you and I'm glad to hear you're well. As you've probably read, we're all renewed in our commitment and trying to make good choices. Sounds like you've got it all under control so maybe you can lend some support and advice. What I wouldn't give to have to gain weight. Hugs, Connie

GAYLE!!! Wow, it's good to see you posting again! You sound so comfortable and at ease with post-surgery life. And you crack me up! By the way, I LOVE turtles...but I hate the thoughts of keeping one captive, so my husband bought me a beautiful turtle sculpture - looks very life like - and I keep him on our lawn out front. I call him Dudley. He greets me every time I come home from work, only he never moves, not even to pull his head inside his shell!! Hey, stick around - we need you! Reenie

Reenie! I love my litle turtle and wouldn't be able to keep him captive either except he's captive bred and has never known 'wild life'. He was so tiny when I got him that I put a spinach leaf on his back and all I could see was the tip of his nose. I call him Mason cuz he's got a really wide mouth. He's hibernating right now and he's so cute! Anyhow, post surgery life is so agreeing with me. I have learned things about myself that I didn't know before. Oh, and I've learned a new trick! I have found that I eat in the middle of the night. Not a good trick. Except for the one time. Gotta share that. Get ready to laugh! OK so I try to keep those little tiny dill pickles on hand, and when we realized that I eat at night I started putting them on the counter by the frige thinking that the path of least resistance would win out and I'd take them rather than 'bad stuff'. Oh I did alright but that night I also found a chocolate bar with almonds in it. I take my treasures back to bed with me. That's how we found out I eat at night, finding food literally in the bed. Can you see where this is going? Betcha can't! OK so I take my treasures back to bed. Little pickles and Chocolate with almonds. Some how I forgot to eat my yummies. They too ended up in the bed with me. My hubby works nights. He gets home and comes to bed. He flipped the covers back and started to crawl in without turning on the light. He put out a hand and found something cold bumpy and slightly wet shaped like a... well like a turd, on his side of the bed in the dark. He said he felt it and picked it up and was trying to figure out what it was and then it dawned on him what it FELT like and he dropped it and turned the light on. He laughed at himself, chucked the pickle in the trash and went to bed. The next morning I wake up and he's covered in lumpy brown stuff all over the back of his undies and down his legs. I accused him of all kinds of vile things! I told him he wasn't so young or so old that he could get away with that and that he was gonna be the one washing the bedding. I harped and squawked for while he sat there shamed. He finally realized that the 'stuff' was on the OUTSIDE of his underware. Boy was he confused! We laughed histerically about it then and sometimes it still comes up. The moral of the story is don't take pickles and chocolate with almonds to bed and blame someone else for what happens! So how are you doing????

Marilyn, sounds like Billy is making you happy, I was wondering if he was the one that had made you so miserable before. Thank god he's not! If you can live in BHC you could set up house keeping on the surface of the sun and still not worry about turning on the AC! I don't even like going over there anymore in the summer cuz my car would over heat just driving around town. Good thing, this year my car won't over heat, it's holding down the rocks in my yard. Timing belt broke. Engine gone. Bye-Bye freedom! Anyhow, heck yeah we'll hafta get together. Have you heard from Jeanie or JR?
