Days 4 and 5 - Rewards
Yesterday was just OK, not great, just OK. I felt like I was hungry all day and really struggled to not snack. I got in 110 grams of protein and it was all from food, not supplements so I shouldn't have been hungry. My downfall came at dinner. We went to dinner before the symphony and there really wasn't much on the menu that I thought would work. All of the salads were loaded with cheese and nuts and none of them came with grilled chicken or steak. Everything else on the menu was a heavy pasta or rice dish. I had even studied the menu online before we left and came up blank. When we got to the restaurant, there was a grilled chicken sandwich available and it came with the options of fries, cole slaw or tortilla soup on the side. I thought the tortilla soup would be the lesser of all evils and ordered that. The soup came laden with cheese and I should have left it alone, but I ate it. I did just eat the chicken breast without the bread or any sauces so that was OK. When I got home at midnight, I checked the calorie count on that soup and it cost me 350 calories. In restrospect, I don't know why I didn't think to order a side salad with the chicken breast, even if I had to pay extra for it. Live and learn. I need to get a better handle on restaurant eating. At the end of the day, my calorie count was 1400 so I rode the bike for half an hour to make up for the 200 extra calories.
I haven't even had breakfast or taken my vitamins yet this morning, but I'm just going to go ahead and report that day 5 was great because I'm going to make it so.
So lets talk about rewards... One thing I've always wanted to do, but just couldn't justify the cost, is get a really professional makeover. Go to a high end salon that specializes in that sort of thing and let them tell me how my hair, makeup and clothes should be. When - not if - WHEN I make it to 140 pounds, I'm going to make an appointment at Rolf's with an "artistic director", here in Phoenix and let them have their way with me. http://www.rolfs-salon.com/hair-beauty.html
So do you guys have rewards? Share them so I can get some more ideas.
XOXOXO

This is so weird! I was thinking about you big time this weekend, and my thoughts went something like this: "When Connie and I reach our goal weights (I'm shooting for 135, I really want to get into this gorgeous Harry Hall dressage coat that is hanging in my closet by the time show season starts in early April) ... maybe we can figure out a way to celebrate by getting total makeovers together - virtually - we can do via web cam or something so we can see each other's transformations!" That's how my thinking went, isn't that weird???
