Dating
Where do I start...
As most of you know I am single. Have been for a while now. Broke up with the financee almost 2 years ago. Since then I've dated but not met anyone that I'd care to date on a regular basis. Yes I want someone special in my life. I'm tired of being alone. I'm bored. Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later! I turned 55 a week ago and geesh! I know there are alot of stars up there in the sky to wish on but I need new glasses.
So tonight I went to the movies with my good friend Carol. After the movies we went to a local private club to meet her boyfriend. While there I met a nice looking guy. That was a plus. Good conversation. There ya go another plus. We sat playing one of the bar games. Laughing talking it was a nice time. Then he said to me do you like to play board games? I said oh yes he said have you played Yahtzee? who hasn't??? WE talked somemore then I was geting ready to leave he asked me for my phone number. Finally! I thought someone who is interested in getting to know me more! Who is cute! Good sense of humor! So we exchanged phone numbers then he said gee I was thinking maybe we could get together and play yahtzee. I said sure that sounds like fun let me know when. He says well I was thinking right now. He says I thought we could go back to your place and play. Oh great I'm getting hit on for a game alright but I dont think its just yahtzee he's interested in! I said I dont' have a yahtzee game. He says well I have one but its at my place in amston. I said I'm sorry I'm too tired to play yahtzee. And I left.
Am I wrong to want to get to know someone more than just a couple of hours to ...hum... play yahtzee? Ok so its 2007 I'm 55 and maybe if I wanted to I could just go play yahtzee with anyone I met. Hey its a new age out there! But along with the weight loss I've aquired self esteme.
no playing yahtzee with just anyone!
I know that yahtzee is more fun with someone special!
dam, I bet he was good at rolling those dice.....
rats.
Pammie,
I'm really proud of you. My latest favorite motto is "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." I usually end up saying it when I come out of a dressing room with a pair of hip hugger jeans, but it also fits in this case. So many of us formerly chunky gals play Yahtzee just because we can now. It takes courage and a great sense of self-worth to wait for the right guy. Hang in there, you'll find him.
Hugs,
Connie
I am proud of you, Too!! If he is right, he will be calling
you again. I totally wrote the infamous Billy off my list &
he came looking for Me & will most likely be going back to
AZ with him very soon. Go figure. If it is the right thing,
You will know soon enough!!
Take care, I for sure know about the bored & lonely thing.
It is very hard to deal with at times.
Lots of Love to you for the New Year

Most of us lived many years of our life with little respect for ourselves. Your decision showed a great deal of self-respect. It's great to have a great body, but Hey! We are the PERSON inside here! Do not allow anyone to make the real YOU as invisible as you were before surgery!
Way to go Girl! Mr. Wonderful is out there for you. And he is willing to play the board game with you before playing the b_d game!
