My political mother...
My mother loves Hilary Clinton and has decided that Hilary will be our next president. i am not political. I've not made a decision about the next president yet. This story is not politics it is about my mother and sister.
My sister is a practical joker. She thinks she is very funny. I've often been the recipient of her jokes and for the most part they are pretty good.
Mom love Hilary Clinton (see above) My sister found a christmas card with Hillary on the front and some holiday message on the inside. Patty my sister tookwhite out and blanked the inside of the card then wrote "When I am president you can still call me Hillary" then signed it.
Patty and mom live in NH. Patty then mailed the card from Portsmouth and waited for the results of her practical joke.
Mom was all excited when she got the card! She's in her late 80's and always been alittle child like so she didn't think anything was wrong she was thrilled with her card and really thought that it had been sent from Hillary!!!!!
My sister was giggling when mom called her best friend Ruby to tell her the good news. Mom was gloating and bragging up a storm. Ruby said but how did you get that how did they get your address?
Mom had it all thought out. She said Ruby they keep lists with all that information! They new that I voted for Bill the last time and they know that I'm not going to make that mistake again! Ruby said where was it sent from?
Again Mom is very smart! she told her the post mark was from Portsmouth. Ruby mom says...they were in Portsmouth just last week!
After she got off the phone with Ruby she started to call her other friends. My sister thought she better tell mom casue it was getting alittle out of hand.
Mom was so upset she started to cry. She would not talk to my sister for 2 days. The card that had a proment spot on the shelf were anyone walking in could see it was now put away in a drawer.
To say my sister feels bad is an understatement.
If anyone knows how I could get this to Hillary so that Mom could get a real card from her favorite person I would greatly apprecaite it.
Pam,
Here are the contact numbers for Senator Clinton http://clinton.senate.gov/contact/
I'd call one of the offices and try to find an aid who would be willing to send a Christmas card to your mom after you explain the situation.
