HOLIDAY TIPS
Hi all - Joy has gotten my juices flowing on this one - let's start posting ways we can help each other get through the holidays without gaining weight. Let's just get a thread going that offers tips and strategies to help each other out. I'll start:
1. Make the first thing you do on Thanksgiving have to do with just that - take a moment to really concentrate and think about all the blessings in your life and give thanks. Don't wait until dinner to do this, start your day with a humble moment of thanksgiving.
2. Follow this with a First Thing in the A.M. workout - start your day with moving your wonderful, new, beautiful body. Give the gift of a healthy workout to yourself, right away.
3. Things to bring to the Thanksgiving Table: celery stalks stuffed with cream cheese; sugar free pumpkin pie or sugar free cheesecake; turkey and gravy (easy on the gravy); salad-splurge on high quality fresh ingredients and make your dressing from scratch instead of store-bought (try a balsemic vinegar/olive oil with herbs concoction - be creative!).
