Thanks to Connie-to-the-Rescue once again. I'm taking the bait on this one, and if I don't post this right now I might not do it at all. SOOOOO...everyone who is taking Connie's Detox Challenge, post HERE with your commitment. Connie suggested two days, this Saturday and Sunday, to detox by totally avoiding all alcohol, candy, sweets, and harmful (white processed) carbs. I'm starting TODAY and will do this for the next four days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And will post how I did on Monday a.m. Here's my commitment: NO candy NO white, processed flour (it all converts to sugar as soon as it hits the gut) NO alcohol I WILL: take all vitamins and supplements I WILL: exercise at least a half hour every day I WILL: hydrate with at least 70 oz. of water every day I WILL: do something that I LOVE to do every day - something that I'm passionate about, something that gets my juices flowing (never mind....) TODAY'S WEIGHT: 146.5 By the way, I have felt a return of energy and it really might be the ground flax seed I've added to my a.m. protein shake. Ok, everyone who is taking the challenge, please post your commitment and plan to update us on how you did on Monday. Thanks CONS! Reenie

You Got Mine!!! I am eating Protein (EGGS) as we speak or write, & I don't have to work with all the Sugar & treats for a few days. (vons) I think it's God's joke that he put me in the Bakery that is absolutely gorgeous & filled with beautiful deadly stuff. I am with you Reenie on the NO carbs & sugar. I started back on Diabetis drugs yesterday as my sugars were way too high. Another wakeup call. Ladybug Marilyn
