Hi All Just a quick post to let you know that last count there is 8 fires in the San Diego Region Burning at this point & some are very big & bad. I am O.K , but a lot of roads, Schools & areas are not, They have no control of these fires & no help with winds for at least a day. Like I said We are fine in the central part of the City it is the folks in North San Diego & Mountain areas that are most afffected. Mandatory evacuations for Escondido, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Romona, Julian, Lake Hodges Regions, Pine Valley & more, but, that is the bigest areas. Prayers needed to get these winds to die down to help these Awesome Fire Fighters gain some ground on what is burning. Last week it was roads collapsing, now it's fires, maybe I should of stayed in Arizona. Well update again later. Ladybug Marilyn, AKA Bearlady

Hi Marilyn; I'm glad to hear that you are OK and hope it stays that way. The scenes from San Diego County on TV are absolutely heartbreaking. I can't even imagine what it must be like to watch your whole world go up in flames like that. Stay well....you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Mike

Thanks Mike, It has been a very hard couple of days around here. I have been through lots of stuff including earthquakes but nothing like this. My Niece was part of the 540,000 people that had to be evacuated, but, it looks like they were able to go home tonight. There is now 11 fires burning in San Diego County & thank God the winds have changed & died down tonight to give these awesome firefighter some help. They have had no control over any of this at all due to the high winds. It looks like 30,000 pf those 500,000 get to go back home some it will be days & won't have homes to go home too. Worse thing I have ever seen in my 53 years of life. There is alot more to deal with before these fires are out, but, things do look better tonight. Thanks for the prayers this entire State needs them. Los Angeles still has fires as well, but, not as bad as ares are. Love you Ladybug Marilyn

Marilyn, be well. I'm having a difficult time trying to come up with the right thing to say. When are we going to pay attention to what's happening, to what we're doing to the natural world? When will people get that Nature is far mightier than the human being and in the final analysis, when we've eliminated ourselves as a species because of our stupidity, Nature will heal itself and go on from there. I wish you and your loved ones Godspeed in recovering from this. Take care. Maureen

Thanks Reenie, & I truly understand exactly what you are saying here. Mother Nature will always win over Human & there is not a lot we can do about it. Ladybug Marilyn

It's nice & good to know that you are ok, keeping you in prayers and all around in Califonia. God bless all, it's something that tells us that nothing only God is the one that we have to claim. Hoping it rain or something happens soon.

Yes I will remember you in my prayers. I have been watching it on the news and I can't even begin to say I know what you are going threw because I don't. I only saw a few house fires here in MO. Here I am worrying about my weight gain and that nothing to what you people in CA are going threw. You can always look around and find someone else worse off than you. Prayers are going up for you everyday. dianalee1956
