Still Alive and Well
Hi Gang;
Sorry that I haven't been around lately. Life is good, life is crazy, life is busy. One of the reasons that I haven't been here is that the family has a lovely, but primitive summer cottage at the shore here in CT.. I have been spending as much of my very limited free time there as I can. It's like totally stepping into another world...one where I can really relax and re-charge my batteries. There is running water, phone and electricity, but no cable or any other TV and no internet connection. We like it and intend to keep it that way. We swim, paddle our kayaks, read books, talk, and play old fashioned card and board games for entertainment. I'm doing well for the most part except that my job is really making me crazy. I hope to be on a day shift by the end of the year. Maybe then, Maureen, I'll actually be able to get to a support group and see you again. I'm still up in weight from my all-time post surgery low, but I haven't gained any since the last time I posted....unfortunately, I haven't lost any either. OH WELL... I'm still feeling so much better than I did in the bad old days. Anyway I hope that all of you Marchers are well and I'll try not to be such a stranger.
Mike
MICHAEL! I can't tell you what a jolt of happiness you have given me this morning! I'm so happy to hear from you and that you sound so good. Your place by the water sounds lovely and how great that you and your family have this kind of quality time together. I'm going to keep hoping that your job situation settles for you so that we can get together. In the meantime, I will throw back at you what you taught me to share with just about everyone I meet anymore - be well, my friend...be well. Maureen
