Strange...

My belly-button--the one that the plastic surgeon carved out for me during abdominoplasty nearly 3 years ago--is badly infected. I can't imagine what's causing this - anyone else having this problem? Should I be concerned? Reenie

First thing call your doctor and get a perscription Second. when i was heavy I got a badly infected belly button. Its an inney. It was caused by the very hot weather, hot flashes, and it got all yeasty in there. ewwwww sorry it sounds nasty it was. I'm a clean person I bath daily but this thing happened. Now i'm very careful especailly becasue I'm highly allergic to penicillian and a ton of antibiotics. I go into shock in a matter of minutes. soooooo after I bath I use a q-tip. ewwwww sorry is that too muchinformation? hahaha Just telling you my past problem with similar issue.

My real BB got infected about 3 months after WLS. It was summer. I think I used over the counter yeast medicine and it cleared up. If you try that, do not give it more than 24 hours before you expect improvement. I think that if it is bacterial, it could spread internally pretty fast from there.

Reenie, You already know this but I wasn't able to make it to the meeting. I didn't get home from my meeting til almost 7. I've not kept in touch with the group. Could you fill me in on when they meet times too? I'd like to go again just haven't had the time. Now that things have calmed down some what I'd be able to make it a couple times a month. I would say it is due to the high humidity of late you have had back there!! Call the Doctor & get onto something to kill that infection before it does serious damage to the rest of your health!! Feel Better!! Ladybug Marilyn
