hello everyone i'm in New Hampshire for the holidays with my daughter, mother, and sister. the younges son (26) had to work and stayed in CT the older son (30) is with his bride to be in CT going to passover with her family. this is the first easter with just the "girls" and we are going shopping today at a wonderful mall in Maine! grandma has her first hearing aide ever and can hear a pin drop on carpeting. so the whispering about her is done. her have developede a sign language to get the point across becasue the new glasses dont' come in for another week. she's alitle bit upset that the boys aren't here this year and i keep telling her we have to let them go they are growing up and are creating their own lives now. they love all of us and we will hear from them but we have to just gto out and have some of our own fun now! this could be good! no more complaining about stoppiung at another store or where we have to eat. oh i miss them too but figure that this is a A on my mothers report card. I brought them up to grow up and be independant and they are! so shame on me for feeling all forgoten about motherly. geesh! maybe i should remind her (and me) that she had to do that when i grew up too! no better just remind her that as they grow up theres better chances for some grandchildren! now that she'll understand! ' only one incident about how stupid she thiinks i was to have the surgery...when we were eating breakfast and she commented on how i must miss having 3 or 4 eaggs with bacon and a stack of toast next toi the cheese danis with my pancakes. I said no i dont miss all of that I said i htink i miss the boys more. waaaaaaaaaa i think today i'll feed my new adiction..instead of chocolate peanut butter eggs i will buy myself a new outfit in a size 10! happy holidays to everyone were ever you are and whoever your with. good luck and god bless pammty

Pam, Easter with the girls sounds like fun. What a great time to make memories with the women in your family. Be sure to take lots of pictures. Sometimes I think I miss having a large breakfast and all it takes is two bites of egg or a piece of toast to convince me that things are just fine now and I'm just as happy with a little as I was when I was eating a lot. Over the last year, I've spent a fair amount of time with my step-mother and it never fails that after a meal, she will go on and on about why she didn't stop eating sooner and why can't she learn to eat like I do. She's not MO, but she is overweight. I never could have learned to eat less without the surgery so I feel bad for her in her struggle. Have a wonderful Easter, Pammy and I bet you look mahvelous in that new size 10 outfit. Hugs, Connie

It is hard letting go of grown kids, but it is a sign of a job well done when they want to live their own lives. It is not a rejection of us! It is our job as parents to give our kids wings, not to keep them clipped. The problem is that be the time we teach them to fly, we forget how to fly ourselves. For me, FLYing means Finally Loving Yourself. It's about time! Joy

You sound better, sweetie, I'm so glad. You're like that guy in the Jimmy Dean sausage commercials, the Dad who is really the sun in all its glory, saying to his little girls, "Gotta go to work now." You are our ray of sunshine, glad to hear you sounding so much better. Reenie
