Save Your Fat Clothes
I was wearing a size 10 and sometimes 8 when I went in for my abdominoplasty. I'm sitting here barely squeezed into a pair of size 12's, only because my only pair of leftover 14's are dirty and being washed. The swelling is ferocious and I wish that I had saved some larger pairs of pants for "swell hell." I'm not going to buy any larger sizes because the swelling will go down, but just wanted the rest of you to be better prepared than I was.
Hugs,
Connie
Connie,
Yep! I did the same thing...swelled up like a toad!! Remember to keep horizontal as much as possible and wear your binder. The more active you are the more you will swell. Plus the swelling stretches everything, including your brand new muscle work and disolvable stiches!! I wore an 8 before, a 10 or better immediately post-op and a 4 after.
Take Care!

Hey Connie,
I don't have any suggestions on this one, as I don't see any plastics in
my future. But, I no from what we read & no about you keeping you
horizontal for very long is like telling a Kid they can't go out & play., Right!
Stay of your feet for ahile & let that body heal. Don't do a darn thing for
the next couple of days. Look how you will feel in a few days of doing
nothing. If nothing else, have someone tie you down for w couple of days.
Maybe then some of that swelling will subside. Hang in There!!
