POUCH PAIN
Hi guys -- two nights ago I had a fearsome headache...actually, more truthful is that I wanted something to help me go to sleep because I was feeling so depressed -- so I took two tylenol with codeine, leftover from my surgery about 8 weeks ago. About a half an hour later I was in the most tremendous pain -- searing, ripping, burning pain in my pouch -- and it lasted from about 8:30 p.m. (yes, that's how early I try to go to bed anymore because I am so sad, I just want to check out****il 3:30 a.m. The pain was so, so bad -- I almost took myself to the ER. It finally subsided somewhat at around 3:30 in the morning - still tender today. I'm afraid I may have started an ulcer or something. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks. Maureen
Hey Maureen it sound like it could have been caused by the codeine in
the tylenol, but, I agree that you really need to see someone about the
depression. Do Not let this go, you are too important to not get help.
A lot of us need anti-depressants to get us through the difficult times
we face. Having surgury does not change that fact. Please get help, You
should be feeling good about life, not so down. Hang in There!!

Girllllllll,
Glad I'm not the only one who would rather "escape" this world and sleep, instead of dealing with all the turmoil in my life. NOT that I'm glad that you are sad, but good to know that I'm not alone in my crazy thinking!
That being said, I think it may be more stress related than Rx related. I'm having a lot of tummy trouble lately - constant nausea, um - more frequent "movements" (I know - - ewwwwwwww, TMI!), general feeling of ickiness. After the day I had today, I realized mine is probably stress related as well.
I'll make you (and only you!) a promise. I'll go and get all my troubles checked out by a pro if you will.
Pinkie swear??? We need to take care of ourselves. I usually only do things for "me" to keep everyone else happy, so in order to make you happy and keep my end of the bargain, I'll go get checked out. You do the same and we'll touch base, compare notes and plan a trip somewhere tropical complete with cabana boys bringing us adult beverages with little umbrellas in them. By the way, my cabana boy will be "Paco". Can't explain - just my little fantasy world. Welcome to it!
Hugs!

That's how it felt when I got a vitamin stuck in my stoma. Eventually it passed (sooner than yours, but I've heard they can stick for awhile), but until then it was almost unbearable. Possibly could have just been that, but best to check it out. With me, I ate an apple after taking the vitamin and I think it forced it into the stoma.
