Two years ago today I changed my life. It has not been an easy journey and I have not reached my goal, in fact I have gained back some weight. It was 26 pounds, but I have lost 7 of that in the last two months. I want to lose 38 more. With God's help and all of you on my side I will do it this year !! Next Thursday I go back to my surgeon for a two year check up. He has a wonderful program for after surgery , but I've tried to do this on my own and it isn't working. On April 19 th. I'm starting a six week program "Back On Track" . Doctor Proctor told my sister that this is such a good program that the instructor lost 10 pounds in their first class ! I'm looking forward to this. Oh yea, my sister is a size 2 or 4 and she has NEVER had surgery !! Her husband had it 4 years ago and lost over 100 pounds, but he's going to this program with me and we're going to do better !! After all the ups and downs I still would do this again in a minute. I feel the best I have in years even if I am not slim !! I remember the day I got under 200, it was such a wonderful feeling and I'm still under 200 so I am still happy . Congradulations to all the Marchers for making it two years. Does anybody know anything about Rob ? He had his surgery two years ago today, too. Judy

Hi Judy; HAPPY RE-BIRTHDAY!!! I too have not reached my ultimate goal-weight and would like to lose a bit more, but I'm so far ahead of where I was, I'd be happy if I could hold on to what I've accomplished. Take care and be well. Mike

Thanks , Mike, I am so far ahead of where I was 2 years ago. Sometimes I surprise myself when I do something I used to not be able to do. A few weeks ago my husband and I were in town and when we came out of the store somebody had parked so close to us we couldn't open the driver's side door. Well, my husband is 6' 4" , (I'm 5' 3") and he couldn't climb over the console from the right side of the Durango so guess what , I did it !! I couldn't believe it ! ! So I have come along way. You have a great day. Judy

Judy, darlin', you're so hard on yourself. I truly believe that if we concentrate on health instead of numbers, the numbers will move more freely on the scale...downward. Just take care of yourself! I say good for your sister -- good for anyone who wages the war against obesity in whatever manner works for them -- including you, my friend! None of this is ever easy for any of us, hence the billion-dollar weight loss industry. Take care of your mind, be good to yourself, and the rest will fall into place. And congrats on your success thus far. Take care, sweetie, Maureen

Thanks Maureen, you have been an inspiration to all of us . I've been down alot of days and I would get on here and the posts that all my friends had put on here gave the courage to go on. I feel like I know the people on the March , 2004 board better than I know my friends I see everyday !! You have a good day. Judy
