Critter Update?

I'm really feeling the need for a Paulie Update from Pammy. Connie's got a houseful of dogs that seem to have a problem with using proper modes of egress from their domicile. Reenie's got a new canine companion as well as a new equine partner. I know there are plenty of us with Feather/Fur babies that make our lives richer. How about some stories. Va

Hi Va, good to see you posting! My mare is due to arrive from CA around the 8th of September; I feel like an expectant momma, can't wait to get her here. As for the pup, we had her for about 2 weeks and she just didn't work out. She's with a new family who has the time and patience to deal with her problems. I realized after about 10 days that I am just not able to bond with a new dog after losing my Sophie. This dog deserved a family who could love her through her very real issues and commit the time and money to getting her properly trained - she nearly bit my face and my son's face and her problems demanded almost constant attention. I just don't have it in me - I lost a part of my heart when I lost Sophie so for now, I will not have another dog. I hope you all don't judge me too harshly for this but this is my reality. There's not too much going on in my animal kingdom lately other than Peabody has as much trouble with ingress as Rufus does with egress. I have to go out and get him from the yard every once in a while because he forgets how to come back through the doggie door. He's never been a Mensa member, but lately he's making Forest Gump look like a genius. He cracks me up because when I go outside to find him, he's ecstatically happy and I can't begin to explain how ridiculous he looks when he's happy. He makes my heart smile. C

HI VA Good to see you posting & I am taking the NEW Car to AZ to see my Kids (dogs)on Tuesday. Can't wait to see my dogs and drive the new car through the dessert. Should be a FUN ride for sure. Won't have to worry so much on this trip. Maybe I will have dog stories on my return on Thursday. I know they will be glad to see Mom!! It has been a couple of months since I was there.
