Anyone out there have shoulder pain after surgery?? The nurse said it could be from the drain thats still in or from the gas trying to escape.

There is always some amount of pain after any surgery. I would think they would have given you something to take for it. I would talk to your surgeons office for the answers in regards to the matter. Marilyn, the Bearlady

Debra, Wasit rny surgery that you had on the 23rd? If so, did you have it done laproscopically? If so, it's probably trapped gas. The best way to get rid of it is to walk. Connie

In lap surgery, the trapped gas is often the most painful part. It usually gets better at 5-6 days post op. You are just about there. Hopefully today will be a much beter day for you. Congratulations on your WLS! You will be so glad you did this for yourself! Joy
