Updated pics
I have updated my album on picture trail. Still some swelling, but I'm very happy with the results. Can't wait until I can start running again and hitting the abs.

Ah,no big deal. I just know that there are not a ton of men who have had this done and even less who post pics. It took a lot of searching for me to find pics of men just so I could get an idea of what to expect.
I was lucky, I didn't have to have my legs of butt done, I'm sure that can't be comfortable.
Thanks for the comments.
DAMN!!! Now all I have to say is that just looks entirely too painful. Whoa.
But the worst of it is over, although you seem to have dealt with it really well. Hard to imagine feeling fine after all that, but maybe you have a high pain threshold. Of course, I was cut stem to stern for my bypass and it didn't hurt me at all then, so who knows. I'm such a chicken liver I didn't even appeal my denial with my insurance. But I will likely go through all that once I'm all divorced and know what I have to play with as far as money goes. I'll get insurance to pay for what I can and kick in with my own for the rest. I can drag my feet quite hard though....

Do I have a high pain tolerence? I have told I do, but still while is was no walk in the park, it really wasn't that bad. However, one big thing that I did not have to have done was ab tighting. Due to childbirth, many women have to have their abs tightened in addition to having the excess skin removed. And from what I understand, tightening the abs causes more pain then just excess skin removal. I also think a huge help for me was the drip that was put right on the incision. It is a little fanny pack and it drips pain meds right on the sight and it helps a ton with the pain. Don't get lost in the short term pain to lose sight of the big picture. I actually felt a lot worse physically after WLS then I did after this surgery. I think a lot had to due with my physical condition prior to surgery this time around.
And I'm going to double up answers here. I haven't been cleared to return to duty, but hoping that changes this week. I actually ran yesterday and was amazed how much I have lost. It was tough to run half a mile. But then I hit the eliptical machine for 25 minutes. It felt so good to get my heart rate up and my lungs burning again. I'm not sure that this surgery will make it any easier chasing bad guys, but I feel better so that helps. As deputies, we don't have the runners as much as the city guys do. But it does bring up a point to those who don't know just how hard it is to run with 30 pounds of gear on. But I hoping to hitting the streets this weekend.
Hey Dawg,
Looking Great!! & I agree it looks like it was quite painful. You are a great
inspiration for us. You have done fantastic & look great!! When do you
go back being Mr Cop again or did you already do that. Now you can
at least run after the bad guys a hole lot better than before. Right!!!
