Here I am two years after surgery and down 132 pounds AFTER having a baby 4 months ago! I am at 145 and my doctor's goal weight for me was 156! I went to a plastic surgeon about a tummy tuck and a breast reduction/lift. Has anyone had these done at the same time? Seperately? Do you recommend it one way or the other? I am waiting for the insurance company to approve me and then I will be on my way! Thanks!!

Hi JB and congrats on your wonderful success and your new baby! I've had 3 different reconstructive surgeries performed in the past 2 years -- (1) tummy tuck/abdominoplasty/hernia repair; (2) mamopaxy (breast lift, no implants); and (3) brachioplasty (arm lift) and LBL (lower body lift). Each of these surgeries were done approximately 8 months apart, with the abdominoplasty/TT/hernia repair done about 13 months post-WLS. The breast lift was by far the easiest in terms of pain and recovery. And I have to say I am so incredibly happy with the results -- the first time EVER in my life that I have pretty breasts...I would advise you consult with your plastic surgeon but my experience tells me that you should be fine with having both the breast lift and TT done at the same time - will you have the abdominoplasty done as well? This is more difficult than the TT as it involves going deeper into the muscle and pulling and stitchin the ab muscles together. The TT is more superficial, just dealing with the redundant skin. But I think you will do fine having both the boobs and tummy done at the same time. Again, though, talk with your surgeon. Good luck and keep us posted! When can we see a picture of you and your beautiful baby girl? Maureen

Dang - great job girl! I haven't had anything done yet but am looking forward to the day I get it over with! I have heard of many who get both done at the same time. That's what I plan on doing. Dina
