My life has change drastically. I have my ups and downs with medical issues. My lowest weight was 143 and my heavest 290 when I first contacted the surgeon for the wls. I am in size 12's and presently have a claim in for predetermination of the abdominalplasty. I hope to hear somehting this week. I am back up to 170 but I am not going to seat over it. I know I need to get back into the swing of exercise and more protien. My life is so different now. I have met and married my best friend. We have been married almost 3 months now. He is very gentle and understanding. The biggest problem is he does not understand what I went through to have the surgery and the struggles with the medical problems afterwards. The fissure I had after surgery is gone. I have developed Restless legs which is a major issue at this point. No one knows why I have it and there is no cure for it. I can take meds at night that will hep me sleep and settle down but nothing helps in the early evenings when it starts. It scares me to know that I could still gain all the weight back and be back where I started. It was so easy at first and now I am preplexed at where to start and when.

Hi You are not alone with Restless Leg thing. I have them to & my friend also does. She had WLS too, but a different kind than I did. She has them worse than I do. I take all the Vitamins I am suppose to & no one can tell me why it happens either. So I guess it is something to do with the WLS patient. & we just have to deal with it (unfortunately). The cramps are the hard part for me. Take care & take care of that new husband of yours. Marilyn, the Bearlady

Happy Anniversary!!! I had restless leg syndrome before surgery, but not so much anymore. I have no idea why it went away. I do get leg cramping easier these days and don't know why. It's not the same as the restless legs, but just another irritant. I know of several people who have it and are not wls patients so I'm not sure it's related to the surgery. Connie
