ahhh honey! IF you feel this isn't a normal kind of thing for you talk to your doctor! Don't suffer needlessly! Do you have anyone you can rely on to help you notice anything like whether or not this is related to your monthly cycles?? My depression is MUCH worse mid cycle! I have no advice on the weightloss! I hope you are able to feel more like yourself soon! nic 291-165/155

Yvette, look at it this way; you're in the next chapter of your remarkable journey. You've passed the "honeymoon" weight loss stage, and now you're at that very exciting -- and frightening -- stage of maintenance and living your life fully and joyfully in a normal sized body. The good news is you get to control your eating, not the other way around! Food is merely fuel for your body; it is not the all powerful demon that possesses great will over our weak little minds. In fact, our minds are strong and our will is steadfast -- if that's what we choose to believe. The bad news is that, whatever we choose to believe is our truth. If we choose to believe that we are weak and that food controls us, then that's the truth of the matter. If, however, we choose to believe that we are strong and we possess the power to nurture our bodies and spirits with mindful, healthy eating -- than, that's the truth of the matter! You are what you believe yourself to be. Rely on yourself to be healthy and wise in this next phase of your journey. If you can't do that -- no one can do it for you. Here's my truth: I BELIEVE you CAN do this. Just for today, just today, just one meal at a time, make good choices for yourself, be good to yourself, love yourself as you have loved your children. Just today. Don't think about yesterday or tomorrow, just today. Keep us posted. Love, Maureen

Yvette - I have the same problem in that it is hard to lose weight now. We both started out over 300 lbs and have settled in around 190 or so I believe. Not everyone is going to get to that 150 goal. I WANT TO still...but if I could get 20 more off I'd be happy. I'm taking a break from trying thought right now and am concentrating on not gaining. Then later when I get a burst of determination I'll go at it and try for another 20. I think not only do we have to choose our battles for emotional timing, but also physical. Sometimes we have to give our bodies time to get used to the weight we're at and then hit it again. You know - shock it kind of. I know I read the profile of Crickett, the photo manager here at OH and she only lost a modest amount her first year, and stayed that way a couple years and then suddenly she lost a lot more the next year. She said she couldn't really explain it if I remember correctly, but maybe her body was just ready then. Try to go with the flow and not focus so hard on this right now. Choose to keep from gaining and go at it when you have the energy and strength to do it. For me, generally I feel more motivated in the spring/summer, so I'm looking at that as being when I will try to get the next 20 off. Take care - you are doing good ... just remember that! Dina
