There should be a statute of limitations on medical billing! Well you could offer to let them repossess your pouch if they can put the old parts back the way they were... Joy

Hey First Off Do Not panic, I have read on other baords that they have tried to do this & as long as you paid your part & have your receipts still, there should be no problem. These Ins. Companies like to pull this Crap ever so ofter I think just to fry our minds. Do not strees eat, you have done really well, don't blow it now. This will work itself out, listen to the one who has had lots of stress lately. I no. Eating does not solve a darn thing, it might make you feel better for a short time, then you are mad or sick for eating something stupid. Hang in There It will be better soon. Marilyn, the Bearlady

Part of my decision not to use Barix when I had my WLS was that at the time they did not have a contract in place with BC/BS and I would be responsible for anything that BC/BS did not pay. And believe me, I got the impression at my consultation that Barix was extremely focused on getting their money. I hope you get this resolved! Hugs, Mo

Here's my spin, for what it's worth... Sometimes when an office has trouble getting the insurance company to pay the proper amount, they, in turn, bill the patient, which they are NOT supposed to do. Do you have an EOB (explanation of benefits)? Pull out your receipts and get on the phone with barix and your insurance company. I'm sure you'll get it straightened out. Take care and keep us posted!
