Hey everyone! Its been so long since I popped in here. I missed you guys! I have so much to catch up on... I viewed the last couple of posts and boy did I miss a lot! From the few posts I read, I need to wish Reenie the best on her recovery. I can't wait to see the pics when you're all healed. Connie- hope all goes well with your mammo issues- I'm 34 and have been having them since I was 30 because I have breast cancer on both sides of my family. I hope its nothing. Dawg- best of luck on your upcoming surgery- I hope its quick and problem free. Marilyn- glad things are turning around for you... there's always a light at the end of a tunnel. Me??? I've been super busy. I had a healthy 7lb 1oz baby boy October 25th. He keeps me on my toes. Just when I think I finally got motherhood down pat, he throws something new into the works. He's 3 mos old now, 15 lbs, healthy and happy. I was so worried about my weight gain during my whole pregnancy. I freaked out when the scale got closer and closer to that 200lb mark again. I was 178 pre pregnancy and finally delivered at 198. Now, I'm happy to say I'm at 169. I still have almost 20 lbs to go to my docs goal (150) but I'm not stressing over it anymore. The reason I had the surgery to begin with was to have a baby so my PERSONAL goal was met. I'm still losing weight but very slowly. During pregnancy you can EAT like you did preop... very scary. I'm happy to tell you all that the day after the baby I got my normal grumpy pouch back. I'm still dumping on carbs and sugars so its a blessing and a curse at the same time. Some hope for those of you who might want to have a baby in the future. Check out some pictures- http://community.webshots.com/user/auntneenie613 It's coming up fast.... that 2 year anniversary. Anyone doing anything special? I need some ideas. I want to do something special but have no idea what to do. Off to catch up some more.... baby is finally sleeping and I have time (like 2 hours****il next bottle! LOL Hugs- Janine

Hi Janine; Congratulations on your "tiny treasure"!! The pictures are great.....he's beautiful. I'm just about to send my younger daughter to college and I don't know where the time went!! I know that I was just changing diapers yesterday. Treasure every moment, because they grow up fast!! As for celebrating the 2 year WLS aniversary, Reenie had a great idea. We had our surgery on the same day in the same hospital and are considering visiting the hospital on our aniversary. It would be nice to see the staff and maybe provide a little encouragement to the patients. Take care and stay in touch when your little one allows it. Mike

Janine, welcome "home"!!! It has been far too long. I am SOOOO happy you and your baby boy are healthy and well. I look back on the 1st 11 years of my boy's life and regret that his mom was super morbidly obese for most of that time. We are making up for it together and I am happy to say that he tells me he doesn't really remember me that way. Life is a constant adventure now, there is so much we can do! I am very happy for you and for your little one and the fact that you reached such an important goal is pure inspiration for the rest of us. Please stay close! Maureen

Oh Janine ,what a precious lil angel Love, God bless you both. I always wanted a lil Boy, I was told I couldn't even have children thru my teen years ,due to a tilted uterus, other problems being over weight all my life. so here I AM NOW ALMOST 40, and I have Identical twin girls 13 yrs old and 5 yr old lil girl who was a big surprise, I was over 400 pounds when I was pregnant and didnt know it till I was almost 6 months along, that I was having a baby!!! That was a quick pregnancy . I was never one to believe thoes stories about woman not knowing if they were pregnant, How could it be??? but I can tell you I was one of them, Lol . My baby was 11pounds 10 oz and 23 inches long! God is good, I thank him everyday for my many Blessings! Take care of that lil angel Love!
