Connie, Prayers headed your way rignt now. I know how scary this can be. I have had the "C" word thrown at me for both my thyroid (of which they wound up taking out 1/2 of the thyroid) and for my breast as well. Keep your head up it very well could turn out to be nothing but if per chance it does we are all here for you anytime of the day or night. Having been through this twice myself the best advice I can give you is to get your butt on the phone with your PCP the minute their office opens tommorrow and tell her that the earliest appointment they could give you is the 28th. If she is that worried I guarentee that she will turn around and get your appointment moved up. Lumps in your breast are nothing to mess around with and you need to be seen immediately. If it does turn out to be something (I pray it doesnot) 2-weeks can mean the difference between life and death. Especially as you have had it since your last mamogram. I'm not trying to scare the **** out of you here or anything, just get the appointment moved up ASAP!!!! If it turns out to be nothing you can get on with your life a lot sooner, if it turns out to be the big "C" by being agressive with the mamogram office you might wind up saving your life.
