Maureenie Update

I called Maureen yesterday, but they told me that they were trying to get her comfortable and I should call back later. So...... I called this morning at Oh-Dark-Thirty before heading out the door. I talked to Reenie for 4.2 seconds. She said that this was much more intense than she thought it would be, she's really swollen, can't move her arms so someone else was holding the phone and I should call back in a couple of days. I'm guessing, but it sounds like she's OK, but just in a ton of pain. Sounds like Reenie needs our prayer warriors, good vibes, happy thoughts and fingers crossed. I'll call her husband tomorrow and get an update from Jim and let you guys know. Hugs, Connie

Thanks Connie, She has my prayers & thoughts. Please let us know when you get more. She was having alot done, so I think she knew, but, did not want to think about the pain that she might have after. Hope she recovers quickly & she is back on this board. We sure need her!! Marilyn, the Bearlady

Thanks so much for the update Connie! I feel so disjointed and out of the loop but I'm happy you are there to keep us in the loop on this. I do hope they are keeping her properly doped up so she doesn't remember the worst of it. I have heard enough about these surgeries to know that you don't want to screw with pain management...just take the damn schedule 2 narcotics and keep 'em coming until the owies abate!!! If/when my time comes, I'm going to go against my grain and just load up on the drugs. Sleep through it, space out through it - whatever it takes. Let us know if you get to talk to her again soon!
