I guess we do not have much to say....so let's check in and say "hi" I am here, a little cool in Florida, but life is great. I know.....what have you enjoyed doing lately that was different due to your weight loss? I went shopping yesterday on my day off, I found a lot of clearance sales in sizes that fit. I actually bought bra's 75% off and found a dress for $1.00 after all of the discounts. Now that is something to be happy about.

Hi Martha, I agree, it's been a little quiet this week. Here is my check-in. Haven't done much shopping lately. Still fighting about 15 unwanted pounds & sure don't want to look at clothes right now. My work last night was a night from Hell. (almost quit) but, as we all no that would not help matters a whole lot. So as usual I will go back tonight and keep on ticking as the story goes. I have gone back to basics & that seems to help with the cravings so the weight has not changed, but, I feel better about the positive changes, so I am sure the weight will start falling again. Thanks for posting, hopefully this will wake up the board. Been way to quiet. Have a Nice Night. I hope to have a better night!! Marilyn, the Bearlady

Otherwise, truckin' along - my weight just won't budge, staying stuck at 149, no matter what. So wanted to get lower for surgery, but hey, what can you do??? Must dash to the pool now, my latest exercise kick and lovin' it...it's great cuz the sight of these baggy thighs scares everyone else out of the water! Love to all, Reenie

Hi everyone! Martha I didnt know you lived in florida! duh doesn't it say it on our profiles. geesh I'm so blond sometimes. I just got back from orlando my daughter took me to disney for a few days for my birthday & christmas it was awesome I can't wait to go again. Maybe next year If I'm lucky and win lotto! Things have been busy with work, cleaning, putting away holiday decorations. Is anyone else still trying to put all that ho ho ho stuff away? seems like while it was out this year it multiplied. over the course of the holidays starting with thanksgiving, moving into christmas then along comes new years eve then what the heck vacation! i would gain a couple then lose one then gain one then lose 1/2 so i ended up with about a total of 4 pounds more then I had been then end of november. I too now feel cravings for the "bad" foods. so far i've been able to control it some what. if i have something that isn't totally right for me i do limit it to just a taste or one piece. thats a normal piece too like one small cookie or a sliver the size of a finger of pie. no ice cream caus that stuff makes me very sleepy like im drugged! truthfully i'm amazed that i have gained because i do watch what i am eating. i've also not been able to excersize due to my car accident back on november 7th so i guess no matter what i shouldn't complain its more that sometimes i just don't understand how i can gain. The quantities of food i eat while in the limits of what i should eat since surgery are bigger than i use to eat right after surgery. still they are within calories counts and protein and all that stuff. its got to be that i'm not able to excersize. i did go back for the first time on sat it was so great to be able to do it again! the doctor said only 2 times a week and not to pu**** I love going to curves but have to say that it doesn't challenge me llike it did when i first started. I think once i get myself all straighted out with the injury and when my membership expires i'm going to go to the gym in town. gee this was going to be a quick hello and now i've taken up a ton of space! sorry guess i needed to gab! hahaha good luck and god bless to all and if you have the secret of losing this 3 & 1/2 (did i mention that after 2 weeks of dieting I lost 1/2 pound! thats ONLY 1/2 a pound!!!!!) let me know. pammy

Hi Pam, I wish I had the answer to this dilemma. I AM exercising regularly and hard, I AM eating well, making good choices, I AM doing ALL the right things, and my weight will not budge from 149, up 8 lbs. from my lowest. I really think there are forces involved here that we simply do not know about or fully understand. So I am chosing to just go with it and concentrate on health and how I feel -- and I feel pretty good! Take care, sweetie. M.

Hey everyone, Things are begining to maybe look up a little so far in the new year. I have had several job interviews (been out of work for 3 months) in the last few weeks that look very promising. One is as the manager of a vet clinc (used to be a vet tech) that actually believes in "GASP" paying people (the highest I ever made as a tech was $8.50 per hour) this one feels really good both financialy (starts at $12 per hour 4 ten hour days so I get 3 days off) and emotionally (got along wonderfuly with everyone durring the interview and walk through). I should hear something by the begining of next week. The other is as a manager for AVIS rent a car at the Denver airport location. It starts at $30,000-$33,000 per year with a company car. It is a 5 day a week 50hour a week job and I would be on the 3pm-mindnight crew. I have had two interviews with them and have 2 more to go before I know if I got it. The benefits are great and the posiblity for a advancement it great too but I am not too sure I want to be working 50 hours a week. So we will see. In the mean time I am working on watching my calories using an online program called myfooddiary.com I like that I can access it anywhere on my web enabled phone so I don't have a reason not to keep track of my food intake and excercise. I have lost 2lb's in the last week so I am happy with that (I'm up to 163 from my lowest of 150 and my Dr's goal of 145 that I never reached). I am working on reducing the amount of alcohol that I consume as I seem to have a problem of partakeing in too much of it and the food diary program and the fact that I am sitting at home most evenings to avoid the local "cheers" like neighborhood bar seem to be helping. I have also found a great new program for working out using my husbands Playstation 2. It's an eye toy game called Kinetic the personal fitness trainer. I love it!!! It has four fitness zones: combat, cardio, toning, and mind and body. It was developed in conjuction with Nike Motionworks. It involves you using a small camera (included with the game) called an eyetoy that puts you in the game. So all I need is the game and a largeish space and I am feeling like Laura Croft from Tomb Raider*****hing out all these targets on screen while trying to avoid getting hit myself. It also has a Tie Chi(sp?), yoga, and meditation portion in the mind and body section that you can do after your hard workout to relax. Who ever said that video games are boring!!! Anyway sorry this is so long I did not realize my life was so exciting Love ya'll Leslie

Well! Hello! My husband and I have decided that we are going to take a HUGE vacation this summer! We are going back to England to see his family they usually come here in rotations! So we are saving $$ and that limits eating out or anything fun! LOL AND I also want to be in good shape since the smallest any of them have ever seen me is a size 14-16. I am now in 8-10's but really need to loose about 10-15 more pounds. SO that is my GOAL! To be like 150-155 pounds. My Mother in law will ask as soon as we get there so how much do you weigh now. She lost a bunch of weight thru a weigh****chers type program and thinks that it should work for everyone. My school year is going roughly. I have a little boy that is out of control, which is TRULY embarrassing to say, since I teach Kindergarten but he is a danger to others and to me and it is causing my stomach to hurt when I see him walk in the door, I can't eat well at school, my stomach is in knots so when I get home I am STARVING and inhale food usually the wrong food OF COURSE!!! My mental health is suffering! I started on a new anti-depressant which is working well except the week before my period so I have to talk to the doc about FIXING THAT!!! My student loans are back in repayment@@ anyone got an extra $30,000 they can donate to me???? AND we just signed up my son for private school for next year, the middle schools here are very scary for a parent of a sweet, young, immature, attracted to the BAD kids, little boy (he isn't so little but all the rest ya know?) So there is an extra $465 a month but that will be a calming thing for my mind to not worry so much about him at school! UGH!!! this parenting thing is sooo dang hard! SOmedays you truly are the bug on the windshield of life ya know??? May the Scales be with you! Nic 291/165/155
