my most wonderful daughter in the whole wide world took me to florida to disney for christmas and my birthday! we jsut got back this past week. it was the most awesome vacation in the whole world! my daughter is 28 with a great job. its so nice when they get older cause they give you good presents! her best friend Missy and missy's mother came too. we all shared a room together and have the best time. lots of laughter! sore feet! good food! yes I said it GOOD FOOD! on the last day we all complained about walking on our bloody stumps. we went on the scarest ride in the whole world. i'm sure that there are alot of you out there who love the scarey ones. I'm not one of those people. Small world ride is as rough as i like it. this dinosaur thing i was tricked into riding by missy. who is almost like a 2nd daughter to me. but right after i survied that ride i was ready to write her out of the will! let me just make a short list (HA!) about some of the things that I was able to do for the first time visiting disney thin..... I got to ride the carosul horses!!!!!! road the plane without a seat belt extendor ordered an appitizor for a meal (couldn't fini**** hehe) able to ride all the seat belted rides with extra belt left over looked in one of those mirrors that is all twisted to make you look different and saw the old me that was alittle scarey! walked about 4 hundred million miles without having to sit every 5 minutes sat in the monorail and others could sit on those seats with me could go through the turn styes stright instead of turning sideways or heaven forbid going through the babycarriage or wheelchair gate. i was up all day and most of the night with lots of energy. we went on one brand new ride - "Soarin" that gives you the feel of flying like in a hand clider. I was very scared to do this (again I'm a slow kiddy ride type of person) but this ride was incrediable. I decided to try it and close my eyes if i got to scared. There is 3 or 4 rows of seats all in a line that reminded me of a glider swing with a hood over it. your seat belted in. now while you are not far off the floor when the show starts it apears like you are in the sky. it gets totaly dark and then this movie screen opens up. your row is lifted up and its like you aren't in a movie show your in the sky! its like your an eagle flying over the clouds. better than being in a plane your outside and can smell everything too. disney is so wonderful about htat kind of thing. when they took you flyhing through a orange grove you could smell the oranges. when you were flying over the ocean and about to dip your toes in you could smell the sea. then up up up into the clouds again then down down down into the grand canyon! over mountains flying together with hot air balloons! oh it was wonderful. i wasn't just sitting there riding along enjoying it I was a bird! I was so into this that the joy inside me flowed out and I let out a yell! woooooo HOOOOOOO! then the rest of the show was filled with shouts of wonder yells of glee, laughter! i had tears in my eyes it was just such a fantastic experience. when we got off the ride i was filled with such joy that lasted for the whole rest of the day! the next day we got up early to go to epcot to get inside and be first. just as we got to the seating area i went into a low blood sugar spell!!!!! rats!!!!! i almost think it might have been brought on because i was just so dam excited to be about to ride the most enjoyable ride ever! but i had to leave and go eat my peanut butter crackers. the kids stayed. RATS! while i was waiting for them to come out i sat next to this grandmother who had the cutest little 3 or 4 year old little girl with her. the little girl was eating an apple. she kept staring at my crackers and telling her grandmother how much she wanted some peanut butter crackers. there was no way i was trading my peanut butter crackers for her nasty apple. I'd seen the kid drop that thing on the floor 5 times. if i'd been the grandmother i'd have thrown it away! i wnat to go back. maybe eat my crackers before i get on the ride...

Gee Pam....I'm going to complain to my daughter!! You get a trip to Florida and I get my daughter home for Christmas Break with her laptop dead with a crashed hard drive. Guess who had to replace, re-format, and re-install all the software in that puppy??!!! Oh well.....I'll tell her that when she gets out of college, she owes me a trip to go see Mickey!! LOL Anyway, it's good to have you back with us and I'm glad that you had a good trip. Mike
