Almost two years!
Well, I can say I have likely been the most inactive person to visit recently! I posted a lot towards the beginning of my journey, but due to extenuating cir****tances had to cancel my account.
I am almost two years out. It's amazing. Had to call a friend to check that it wasn't three years... it feels like it has been forever. My highest weight was 266. My current weight is 125. (I am a short one at 5'1"). Last month I had plastic surgery to remove the apron area. I am now the proud owner of a flat tummy and the cutest belly button.
I want to know what people are currently doing to stay successful? I am not exercising yet... 3 more weeks for the doctor's ok. But, I plan to kick that up a notch. I am eating well. Actually, I signed up for Weigh****chers a while back just to be able to go to the meetings and talk about healthy eating!
I do not want to be a failed success story! I want to be a SUCCESS! And, right now I am.

I don't post either....but I do pop in from time to time and read. Congrats on your success ! My highest weight was 322 and my lowest 175 (luckily I am tall 5'11"). My problem is that I am now 182, granted it is 7 lbs but I am very scared (it came on between October and now..guess the holidays did me in). I am exercising again...been steady for a month now, but I am fighting my food demons for sure.
I have not had any plastics yet and will investigate soon. Hoping that would give me a better body image than I have now.
Anyone else fighting the hunger and or food demons out there ? It is amazing how slowly the weight comes off now and how easy it can come back on. I have met people that have gained it all back after surgery and that has stayed with me (don't want to join that club !)

Ah... the dreaded food demons. They never stop bothering us, do they?
I am amazed sometimes how much I can shove in my mouth when I get that insatiable hunger. But, I also get sick very easily when I overeat.
I am trying to refocus on the protein and water. Drinking craploads of water has to fill me up!
I have also met people who have regained. Let's not join them!

Hi K & Stacey,
Glad to hear from you both K it sound like you are doing everything right.
Let us know how you keep with it. Stacey if you read some of our back
posts you will se that we all fight those hunger deamons. Some days are
worse than others. You have done a great job as well, so as long as
you are aware of those 7 lbs & are tryind to do something about them,
that should be a good thing. I think all of us are scared about gaining
weight back. I have never got to goal. So I am fighting that too!!. I have
an appt. with a trainer at my gym next week to get a program going to
hopefully help me get to goal.
We can win this battle as long as we all stick together in this. Don't be
strangers. Keep posting, we love to see new insights to what work &
of course what does not.

I haven't posted her in a long time too -- but we are approaching the 2 year mark and I like to read how others are doing.
I recently saw the results of a study that affirmed what I do to maintain. The study showed that people who weigh daily maintain their focus and were able to immediately deal with slight gains in weight.
Daily weighing keeps me focused and if I go up 3 pounds I then diet for a couple of days and the weight comes off. This works for me.
Congrats on your success.
