Well I know that it has been a long time since I posted on here, but I have been really busy. I leave this Sunday for the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center. I will be there for 14 weeks. I am very excited. I have lost a total of 270 lbs now. I feel great. I am running 2 miles 5 days a week. Things are going great.

Nick! Congratulations - I take this it means you've been hired as a police officer? That is just way cool! Between you, Ken, Connie's beau and everyone's favorite dispatcher here (Hey....I better be!!!), we're going to have our own little police station here! Dina

Congrats to you. I too am running at least two miles, five times a week. I do well enough to qualify for POST ( Police Officers Standards and Testing for you civilians), but I'm not very fast. It is a great goal you have reached, and I hope you enjoy your time at the training center. As I'm a reserve, I had a much shorter training time frame, but I'm not POST certified, however we are looking at changing that. I think you'll find LE fun and frustrating, but once its in your blood, it can be tough to leave. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you. Keep of informed of you progress. PS. Santa was good to me and got me a new backup weapon. A Glock 27 with night sights and an ankle holster.

NICK!!! It's so good to hear from you! I am so happy for your success. Best of luck on your law enforcement training and please stay in touch. I am hopeful that at the very least we will all find our way back to each other to CELEBRATE our two year anniversaries, so hope to hear from you again in March, or sooner -- and often! Take care, Maureen
