OT Wedding Update
Well, here is the most recent update.
Last Friday, after the invitations had been in the mail for more than 2 weeks the cake decorator said she could not make my cake.
Last Sunday I got a call that my reservation for dinner on the night of our wedding was cancelled. I called them and they said they were closing the resturant due to illness. (Funny how someone else was always managing the resturant when I went in, not the owners.)
Then Monday afternoon, I was told the pastor had a stroke but he was ok.
After a couple days of trying to get something else together and stressing, we decided we would change our plans. I called the pastor and he is still able to perform our ceremony. So we have the pastor, the license and the church. So we moved it to December 21 (next Wednesday) at 11 am. I have been calling people to notify them of the change in plans. We are then heading out towards Tennessee for Christmas as planned.
Thanks everyone. Each phone call I get since we made the decision the change the wedding has been positive. And believe me, there is much relief.
We have so much going on with taking care of mom, the wedding and Christmas. But we take each day as it comes.
Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas season.
Hey Martha,
You are a wonderful person a deserve all the best!! These temporary
downs are all just temporary. Like someone already stated, it's not the
wedding itself its the happiness that comes from the marriage. God
Bless you & your new husband & you have a great Christmas & I know your
New Year will be wonderful.
