You are not giving us any information. My insurance will deny unless I prove it is medically necessary. I have been taking pictures of the rashes and the extra skin to help my case. Did you provide anything to the Ins company when you tried to get the approval? It is my understanding it is hard to get insurance to pay and a lot of the plastic surgeons want self pay clients. I think I am going to have an issue with this when I start down this road after the New Year.

Hi Kerry, welcome! I can only tell you that I have been very successful in getting all of my work covered because I have proven medical necessity. I don't know what insurance company you have - they all differ and some just won't cover any of it no matter what evidence of medical necessity you present. I provided tons of photogrpahs of inflamed rashes; and my regular doctor (PCP) was instrumental in providing letters and my medical history since the surgery, citing medical necessity. Can you give us more specifics? Best of luck with this. Maureen
