In the same boat with everybody else !!
Hi Judy;
I'm sorry that you are struggling, but you have lots of company!! This seems to be the time when lots of us are having trouble staying on track. Of course, the Holiday season doesn't help one bit. Still, if you think about how far you have come instead of how far you need to go, it will be harder to call yourself a failure. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!!!!! You have hit a roadblock on the road to success......nothing more. You just need to concentrate on winning a few small battles The war can only be one with a lot of small victories. Hang in there and stay with us. We all need one another to get through this.
Mike
Judy,
By the time I get to the boards and read all the postings I don't usually respond to them. My posts would just be redundent becuase all the wonderful people that got there before me have already responded with great advice or encouragement.
I decided to respond to your post because I feel so much of your pain. I too have had a pretty rough year and have been batteling many of the same food demons as you, and have gained back 10lbs of the weight that I lost in just the last 2 months. Sugar is also my down fall even though I will dump if I eat over a certain amount. The sad thing is I know just where that tollerance ends to where I would dump and I eat right up to that point. Then I wait a while and do it again all the while fully knowing what I am doing to myself.
I have decided to make the jump and go see a therapist about it. Your post has encouraged me to stop trying to fix it on my own. I realized while reading about how you have gone to seek out help at the Dr.s and the therapists, and the weight loss center that there are resources out there for me and I should not feel like I have to do it all alone. You are a very smart lady to realize this and to go out and seek help from them.
So the bottom line is you feel like a failure........to me you are an inspiration. Thank you for your post and for your help.
Leslie
