Just to give all of you an update. Yes the wedding is still on. A friend at work brought me the wedding invitations today and the RSVP cards that she printed for me. I got my wedding dress on the 5th on sale at Penney's for $39.95. Oh what a difference it is to be buying clothes off the sale rack. I also bought another dress should we go to any holiday parties. We got Alton's suit this past weekend. A girlfriend near Atlanta is making my bouquet of yellow roses. I have the appointment at the Resturant the first Sat in December for a lady who works there to make my cake. The small private and wedding dinner is turning into about 50 in attendance. I made arrangements to go into the church and have the ceremony without any decorating and the resturant will be decorated for Christmas. I got a good deal on the meal as well. Alton and I are still excited and enjoy each day we have together. I got the return address labels made this weekend with both our names. It is the first time I have seen Martha Hill in print It brought tears to Altons eyes. He is so sweet and precious. The only negative part is my sister. (I am not sure she would ever be happy in anything I do.) I had the same issues with her with the weight loss surgery. I have found I cannot talk to her about anything. I do not understand why she cannot be happy for me. But I am not going to let this bother me. Alton makes me happy. He makes me smile. Mary my friend, you will get your invitation next week I hope.

Your story is so sweet I love to read about it. Sometimes family can be the hardest part of life! my sister had a hard time and still is with my surgery. Even though we are/were both large I was alittle bit bigger. When I had the surgery she made the comment that she was against it. she also said she was afraid that I'd get this done and lose all the weight and she'd not be able to. I took that to mean that even though she is against the surgery secretly she'd love to have it. Our mom is VERY controling. Even at 85 she can make us do what she wants! I guess you never lose that little kid who can shake in your shoes when mom is on the war path! And mom is more against it than sister. I went ahead with it and am thrilled that I did. They are just going to have to get over this fixation that they have. Even though now I am thinner I am still me. I dont notice the weight loss when we're all together. I am not looking forward to the nasty remarks next week at thanksgiving dinner. Especaily when I lean back and rub my tummy and say Whew I shouldn't ahve eaten that last bite or turkey! Ok so I'll keep my mouth shut and not say a word...hehehe I think the important thing is to remember that it is there problem not yours. have a wonderful wedding!!!!!

Thanks to you all for responding. It is nice to know I have the WLS family I can rely on to share my happiness. I now have most of the invitations addressed. Alton did not think we would need addresses this soon so I am waiting on his sister to send him some addresses. I had 40 invitations printed and I addressed everyone. I will need to tell Isolene to print the other 10. I counted up people who would might possibly attend the wedding and dinner. I am up to almost 75 people. We went to church tonight and the Pastor to the Senior Adults scheduled our meeting with him for the Thursday evening after Thanksgiving.
