Where did you all go?

I'm here! I'm here! I just had a very busy, wild and whacky weekend. It was raining men in my neighborhood. I have an old boyfriend, who I'll call The Guy, who is still a good friend. When he comes to town, he'll give me a call and we'll go to the races or out to hear a band. He's an excellent bass player and often comes up for jam sessions. We're just friends these days although he always teases me that we're going to end up in an RV park on a Mexican beach together. So The Guy has always wanted to play with The Dude. Remember The Dude? He's the dude with the band that I dated last spring. I called The Dude, told him that I had a friend in town who wanted to play with him and The Dude invited us out for a big bash on Saturday night. I gathered up a bunch of friends and away we went. The Guy got to play almost the whole night together with the Dude. They sounded great and got along great except when it came to me. Only I am stupid enough to put two ex-lovers in a band together. All in all, it was fine, but there were some uncomfortable moments for me. The Dude kept talking and singing to me over the mic and that left The Guy not too happy. The Dude would pull me aside and ask me what was going on with The Guy and The Guy kept putting his arm around me and then grilled me all the way home. Add to this fiasco, the groupie from hell literally pulling on The Dude's arm every time he tried to talk to me. This is the same groupie who called me a skinny b*tch. She walked past me and called me a b*tch again for old times sake, which send my friends into a tizzy so I had to tell them to ignore her and told them how proud I was of the first time she called me a skinny b*tch. For the rest of the night, every time she walked past us and gave me the hairy eyeball, they broke into a loud chorus of "Skinny b*tch, oh skinny b*tch" sung to the tune of the "Smelly Cat" song from the Friends show. I danced all darned night with the twenty-somethings. There's something to be said for an old broad who knows how to twirl, spin and get dipped. No, not that kind of dipped. My girlfriends thought I was nuts for going home alone, but this girl had enough drama and besides I'm a good girl at heart and The Man is on the horizon. The next day, The Guy called to continue his harrassment. "Buttercup, what did you do to The Dude? That man is crazy about you. Remember, you're going to end up with me after it's all over and done with." The Dude called to ask if I'd think about getting back together again. Not only no, but hell no. The groupie refresher was enough to remind me of why I left in the first place. So Sunday, I spent the day with The Man. A nice quiet evening at the movies. A nice, sane, calm, time. Connie

Oh yeah, I've also talked to every kind of attorney you can imagine the last few days with Kathi's trial coming up this week. I still don't know if I'll be called as a witness. I also had tons of work to do on the business I've started with my sisters. We're one of the top ten finalists for a contest that Good Morning America is having for women running their own businesses. They want a ton of paperwork before they make their final decision on the winner. Keep your fingers crossed. If we win, I'll be on my way to New York. Connie

Hi Joy, I am here too! Trying to get use to the new schedule i am on. Connie you are Too Too funny. Iwould have loved to been there with the Guy & the Dude Night. It had to be priceless.
