The Challenge
Well, I'm down a little bit - 144 this a.m. My goal is to be below 140 before August 1 - I'm struggling! What I'm most proud of though is my workout yesterday. I really, really had to argue with myself to even get up the energy and resolve to head out the door to the gym. Once I got there, despite feeling like I really didn't want to be there, I kicked butt and worked up a decent sweat. It reminded me of how far I've come - I needed that. So, get out and move my friends! Hope all is well - oh, some potentially exciting news. We learned of a 13 month old collie girl that is in desperate need of a new home, otherwise she is headed to the pound. I think we're picking her up tomorrow. I feel like my sweet Sophie is whispering in my ear, "It's ok, bring this lucky lady home; she'll be a great walking buddy for you - and I'm right here in your heart, forever." I miss her so, so much. This little collie was bought by a very young, immature girl who bred her to her boyfriend loser's husky when she (the dog) was only 9 months old! It's amazing she lived through the whelping. I think she needs us as much as we need her. Oh, and I'm buying another horse - the loss I've felt with Hillie has been too much to bear; selling her was the absolute worse mistake I've ever made in my life. My new mare is coming from CA and should be home by the 1st week of September. That's my news from Lake Wobegone! Love you, Reenie
The New Dog & Horse will be the best gift you can give yourselves & family!!! I am working on getting away to get my
Dogs here in San Diego!! I have to have my kids or I am going
to go absolutely crazy!! I may have to move into my own place
to do it, but, I will get my Dogs here one way or another!!
At least I will still be close to Mom, just not in her House
& not 400 miles away one a few!! More on that later!!
