I am getting married..........

After all these years and kissing the toads/frogs this past year, I finally found my prince. I guess we all have times in our lives that we have tread thru the valley to find the mountain. I met Alton on a dating site in August. It tooks me a couple of weeks to actually meet him. The first time we talked on the phone we ended up singing songs back and forth to each other. As we met and talked and spent time together, I discovered he met all the criteria on my "wish" list. I also discovered that I had been selling myself short trying to make all those other realtionships work. Being with him and caring for him has been so easy we both feel as though we have known each other a very long time. We have decided to have a small wedding December 30 and he will show me the great state of Tennessee for our honeymoon. We can both say, thank you Lord for Walmart (as they transferred him to Florida) and the computer dating service. Although he lived 3 doors from my nephew, we would have never met otherwise. Both in the same town and single and looking for each other.

Oh Martha! That is absolutely fantastic...I am very very happy for you. I can SO "get" the part about singing songs back and forth to each other. Martha, how wonderful for you -- and more wonderful for Alton! You've been posting for months now about how happy you are having found each other and each of your posts always brought a smile to my relationship-weary face. Hey, how far are you from Bradenton? Thank you all for your well wishes. Alton and I are still excited. He went to work today and was spreading the news there. We told my mom last night. Most of my family knows now. Maureen thanks for the offer of singing at our wedding. I would love to hear you. We could do a trio. Alton sings to me all the time. We have so much fun playing music and dancing and singing. We decided at the beginning of our relationship if we could not enjoy each other and have fun together, then we were not meant to be a couple. We are dressing up for halloween and going down to the home where mom lives. He bought bandannas to put on our heads The kids will be there trick or treating.
