Huh?
It's after 5:00, I haven't had dinner, I've already eaten almost 1,000 calories and I haven't even eaten anything that's bad for me.
I started the day with and egg and grits about 8:00 - 200 calories.
Snacked on popcorn at about 10:30 - another 200 calories.
Lunch was a WW Turkey dinner - 290 calories.
About 2:30, I started to get the low sugar shakes. I was seriously out of fuel so stopped at Jack In the Box and got a Chicken Fajita Pita. 280 calories and 21 grams of protein.
I've had a hunger headache all day. Not head hunger, but a hunger headache. I've breezed through the last couple of days at about 1200 cals, but this has been a rough one and I'll probably finish out closer to 1400 or 1500. What happened to the good old days when I struggled to get in 600 calories?

Hhhmmmm ... this is a mystery to me, haven't heard of (or experienced) anything like what you're describing. What about fluids, are you hydrated? Listen, Connie, I am DONE with the lite popcorn - the only lite thing about it is how effortlessly it finds it's way into my mouth. Love the stuff! NO MORE. Everyone's doing so well with this challenge thing but I confess I'm stinking at it. Judy has really gotten me going...so here I go -- FOOD BEGONE DAMMIT!! Eat to live, eat to live! Love you sweetie, Reenie
Yea, I remember the first 4 or 5 months I only ate because I knew I'd get sick if I didn't!! That is the only time in my life that I didn't want to eat. I still don't (can't ) a lot at one time, but I can graze all day, but I'm trying to stay with 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. I'll glad you're doing this with us. Judy
Probably too many carbs with the grits & popcorn for the crash
in sugar. Eat more protein & that won't happen. I think grits
have some sugar too, don't they??
The chicken fixed the problem, so, I would think it has a lot
to do with that.
If I start my day with oatmeal, it does the smae thing to me
so try adding another egg of some other protein along with
the grits next time. or leave out the grits all together.

Connie,
I have LOADS of troubles with low blood sugar...carbs are the quick fix but I'll be right back at the same point in 90 minutes or so. The only things that really works to keep it under control is protein...meat, cheese or a protein drink. I can't do any cereals without a big crash. I have had this problem ever since WLS.
I can eat the new Sara Lee "delightful" bread products - like one slice of bread or 1/4 of a whole wheat bagel without much trouble. But they can definitely add pounds. I continuely fight with the same stupid 5 pounds, I know, 5 pounds sounds lame - but I hate it!!
Anyway think protein - not food.
I was shocked to break down the calorie count from the bean burrito I love from Taco Bell. Golly!! I forgot those tortilla shell's are just loaded with calories, fat and carbs.
Good luck with Sunday!

I'm changing the subject line from "Huh?" to "Duh!". I didn't even think about how many carbs I'd eaten in the morning. I'm usually so focused on protein first that it's not an issue. I've been trying to diligently watch calories and didn't even think about the carb factor.
5 pounds does not sound lame. It's harder to lose the last 5 than it was the first 100.
Thanks for your insight. I'm sure Sunday is going to be better.
