Thought for the Day...
... or for a lifetime. A co-worker stopped in to say hello yesterday afternoon. We see each other regularly at the gym during our workouts. I mentioned to her that I just wasn't "into it" (yesterday) and I didn't feel like committing to a strong workout like I normally do. Without averting my gaze, she said firmly and quietly, "Tough." Just that word. "Tough." I must have looked a bit stunned because she went on to say, "Look, if you want it bad enough, you have to break a sweat to make it happen." She waited for me to say something. She waited some more. And then she said, "See you tomorrow," and away she went. So I'm posting now to tell you she's right. If we want it bad enough we have to break a sweat to make it happen. And I am just back from breaking a significant sweat. It's a battle and some days I am pulling up the rear, totally fatigued and giving in, giving up. Other days I am leading the charge and spitting in the eye of the Monster. For now, for today, I am winning the battle. Go out and work up a sweat today doing something you love to do with your body (ah, get your mind out of the gutter!) Then come back here and tell us about it. Love you -- Maureen
Yup, I did that yesterday myself. Went to the gym worked up a sweat &
you no what I felt pretty damn good after-wards. I am sore today,
but, it's a good sore I will go do it again tomorrow for sure. I know that
is why I have been struggling so. Your words are great timing as usual.
