Jump Start Challenge Day #2

Well, I did extremely well until about 7pm last night; the evenings are the hardest time of the day for me and I continue to attempt to comfort myself with food through overwhelming feelings at home. Here's what I ate yesterday: B - protein shake (lite&fit yogurt, 2 strawberries, protein powder-this is so good!) S - 1 stalk celery w/PB L - WW frozen lunch (beef tenderloin w/broccoli and cauliflower) S - 1 med. apple (I try to eat an apple every day) D - Asian chicken salad S - (this is when the grazing started) - 2 C. 98% FF microwave popcorn; 1 english muffin w/PB and grape jelly Then I stopped myself. The scale showed a 1.5 lb. loss this a.m. TODAY: I commit to trying to do BETTER today and will really try to focus all my energy on self-care through healthy eating and exercise. Of course, this ALWAYS starts in the head. B - protein shake (lite&fit yogurt, 3 strawberries, protein powder) S - 1 stalk celery w/PB L - WW swedish meatballs frozen lunch S - 1 med. apple D - fresh pollack with broccoli sauteed in olive oil and garlic All my water and vitamins; and at least 40 mins. of working out Have a great day, all. The night time is the worst for me. I have such a rough time with insomnia and end up snacking when I can't sleep. I've gotten rid of every morsel of food that's not healthy so at least I'm snacking on fruits and proteins, but I'm still driven to put something in my mouth when I'm tired and restless. I started the day with 3 ounces of lean roast beef. Had an iced coffee w/ an ounce of low fat milk for a snack and a grilled chicken sandwich with 1/2 the bun for lunch. I sorta blew it on the chicken because I didn't realize that there was mayo on it and it was too messy to deal with while I was driving so I just ate the damned thing. It's 3:00 and I'm hungry so I'm going to go get some cherries. Hope I can hang on tonight and not eat my own head. Hugs, Connie

OK, I finished off the day with about 3 ounces of roast beef for dinner 100 calorie popcorn mini bag for a snack and for my final hurrah, a couple of slices of lean deli ham before bed. My calorie count for the day is a little less than 1100, but more importantly, my protein count is 99 grams. If I can just stay out of the fridge for the rest of the night, I'll be OK.
