What have they done to this board???
Me Too!, This really is hard to get into. I have already e-mailed the main
guy and told them how hard it is to find this board. I don't like the new
look whatsoever. Why do they always think we nee change. Just leave
stuff alone & we are happy campers. I got in, but I also don't know if I
can find my way back. I am also moving again on Tuesday & will be
computerless for probably a week (before I get the darn phone moved)
I sure don't want to lose you guys & hope we can figure out how to find
our way back.

Oh Yeah.....I had some trouble finding my way here too! I immediately added it to my "Favorites" so that I could get back without a lot of fooling around. I'm not sure why they felt they needed to change.....Sometimes I think that I.T. people need to change things because they get bored and need to remind us non-wizards that we're computer fools and they are the Lords of the Realm!! LOL

go to communities in that list there is a forum list to put March 2004.
that is what they told me today when I asked. They also said they
would add the message board forum things back to the top of the page

OK, I'm the resident geek, but I like this format much better. The old website bugged the heck out of me from a web design standpoint. Guess what I do for a living. LOL If you want to look at the code behind the scenes just for fun, right click your mouse on the screen. Then click View Source. Now isn't that fun?
The way they handled the change was just bad change management, but I'm going to chalk it off to this being a free service and it's probably run by mostly volunteers without a lot of experience at this. They should have posted instructions on each of the community boards a couple of weeks before they made the change. The other thing they could do is pull the state, surgery month and e-mail address for each person from their database and send an e-mail lettng each member know what the links for their surgery month and state boards are. That wouldn't take much time and effort to do from a codning standpoint. Live and learn.
Let's just hope everyone can find their way back here.

I too was lost in computer land. Couldn't find my favorite message board. Didn't have a clue as to what everyones email address was. I was so happy to finally figure it all out!
The first time I tried to get here I typed in the obeisityhelp.com. Well of course it was a completely new look to the front page and I paniced! My son lets me use his computer and I'm NOT under any cercomstances supose to download anything what so ever. I"m NOT allowed to go to any web sights that he hasn't approved of. (this was has been alex approved) I'm, NOT allowed to do any messaging especially to strangers! WE had alittle incident last week and I lost computer priveleges for a few days. YOu think I"m kidding????? Let me tell ya this kid (26years) is tougher than I ever thought of being!
Last week I had gotten on line when Alex wasn't home. Now I know the rules not to download anything and I abide by them. Its his computer he's letting me use it so fine I am a good girl. Anyways I'd been missing this one game I use to play on my dead computer by a group name of pogo on aol. Its called poppit. Silly little mindless game that I love. Well I"m poking around Adelphia thats who my service provider is and find a place of games. Imagine my happiness to see one name of poppit! I did a double check to make sure it wasn't a download game. It said play live on line and dint have the download button next to it so I figured GREAT I can play my game! Oh what a fun night that was! I played it for 2 hours. My son works 2nd shift and when he came home we were chatting for a few minutes. All of a sudden he looks at his comupter desktop and says. MOm do you have anything to tell me? I said no tonight was anice night did some laundry took the dog for a walk. MOM he says I'm going to ask you again...do you have anything to tell me? I'm very puizzled but thought he was playing a game so I said no dad I've been good. Then he gets a stirn look on his face and says MOM this is the last time I'm going to ask you! Do you ahve anythign to tell me????? I said alex whats your problem??? He points at the comptuer screen and says thats it I gave you three chances to tell me the truth! I"m like alex whats your problem what the hell are you talking about. Then I looked at the screen and right there in front of my very eyes is a box saying downloaded poppit. Oh my god now I know how the kids felt when they got caught! Of course he didnt' believe me that I"m not compauter sauvey and didn't know it was download type. He made me show him where I had gotten it but I still lost my computer privelages for a couple of days until he talked to my other son who convinced him mom's not smart enough to to try to sneak a download in. that it was the trueth! we ended up with a good laugh out of it after he did many virus checks.

yes as soon as i saw the new look i backed right out and waited til he got home from work to get back on
