Ponderings...
its one of those nights were i sit and read the posts.
i too can eat alot more now than i've ever been able to eat. what i have noticed is that i am eating the right things. when i do have a "treat" i'm sticking to sugar free. just cause its sugar free doens't mean its not got those darn calories! i read the packages. i stick to portions. i'm not eating that whole box of shortbreak sugar free cookies i'm eating 3, thats their portion. i'm also making more of an effort to drink tha****er. thats been a help too. i also now weight myself almost every day. if that scale goes up that pound i play with i watch what i eat. i'll be even more careful of what goes into my mouth and those sugar free cookies take a back seat to the cheese stick. i still love sugar free popsicles they have been a big saver. they not only satisfy my craving for something sweet but they also quench a thirst. i'm staying the same not going up or down except for that pound. so i'm sticking at 158/159.
now i don't even think abou****ching it when the pound does its surprise attack. when it gets to the 159/160 i go on auto pilot. i'm still weighing & measuring food too.
am i doing it right? i dont' know i'm only doing what feels right. it seems to be working so i'll keep it up until it doens't work.
i feel good. i do worry though. am i getting the nutritions i need. i make sure to take my vitamins, calcium, B12 all of that. i also have a banana a day it helps so i dono't get those nasty charlie horses. i've always been prone to those. and have also started with citrus a day too. i've been getting cold sores. use to get them years ago when i have a grapefruit a day it helps.
for some reason lately when i take my B12 i get more tired. of course right now i'm tired most of the time because i'm working 7 days a week. its taking a toll on me but i need the money and don't have a choice. it won't be forever just for a few months. can you take too much B12?
i still feel great!
Hi Pam,
Sounds like you have things well under control and are doing great. Hope your work schedule lets ups soon though! You can't take too much B12 - it's a water soluble vitamin which means any excess just goes thru your system and you pee it out. I take 2,000 mc a day - which is twice as much as my doc recommends - but I always like to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need.
