What a caricature

I spent the last 4 days at a national IT conference with lots of hardware and software companies soliciting their products. A couple of the companies had caricature artists doing free drawings of people. Never in my life have I had one of these things done because I was sure I was going to come out of it with a huge, fat head with chipmunk cheeks. After being pushed and prodded by some of my counterparts, I went ahead and sat down. Guess what? I don't have a huge, jumbo cartoon head with big chipmunk cheeks. I have a big, huge smile and big, huge eyes, a skinny neck, but no big, huge cheeks or body. I even ended up going to the 2nd artist to get another picture done and compare the results because I thought surely the first guy was just being nice. I've got two of the caricature things and not a big fat anything to be seen. I'm still getting used to this not being fat thing. Connie

You are so funny, Connie, yet I can relate to your surprise. I was caught on video a couple of weeks ago (a situation that I have always strenuously avoided). When I saw the video I was shocked and said, "That skinny girl is me?? Wow!" I wonder when our heads will catch up? Joy

I am wondering that too. I was at church last night, in my bluejeans, (it was casual attire) and I got stopped by people telling me how good I looked and how skinny. I also have a new man in my life that keeps telling me I am beautiful and how did I get that way. I still do not know how to react, so I say thank you and smile. I hope I never get used to hearing this.
