Returnig from a long vacation
HI! all,
I don't know if anyone remembers me or not but I left for vacation over 2 months ago and am glad I am back home!! It was a nice trip but as they say there is no place like home! I have a question- I am in Israel and they are not to familiar with what I need for after care so I pretty much have to research it and let thme know what to look for. I am just know going for my one year post op and need to know what I need done as far as blood work and such. I have had no problems at all but want to make sure I am not missing anything, any and advice is appreciated, my appointment in this monday. Thanks! Dawn
p.s. I will be busy catching up reading all the posts, I am glad to see so many oldtimers still providing great advice!!
Welcome home, Dawn, we missed you! And thanks so much for your beautiful post in response to my earlier post this week about relationships. I'm so sorry you lost your son 10 years ago. Your words truly touched me and left me feeling inspired. I will stand with you, thanks so much for this. Now, as to your appointment, I'm assuming you are seeing the surgeon who performed your WLS? He/she will know what tests to have run but just in case...make sure you get your levels of B vitamins checked, as well as protein and albumin (I think that's how you spell it) -- the albumin checks to make sure your liver and kidneys are functioning appropriately. What you want pretty much is a full metabolic check. How are you feeling? Are you taking your vitamins every day? If so, you should be fine - let us know how it all goes for you! Reenie
