Belt Procedure scheduled
Will have to wait and see, The only upside is that one way or the other I'm having surgery as I have to have a hernia repair. If insurance says no to the belt lipectomy, I'll just wait until Jan of next year and flex out the amount for the PS, and have insurance pay for the hospital under the hernia repair.
Best of luck to you. Have you checked out the PS forum here with the sample letter in response to a denial?
Dear Mr. Fabulous Buttocks,
I did get an appeal letter from the PS forum and my insurance company was less than impressed. Tonight I sat down with a friend who is a paralegal and we reformatted and edited so I can submit my second appeal. If it were up to me, the letter would start with "Look, A-holes..." My friend tells me that my approach won't get me far. Go figure.
I certainly hope you have much better luck than I'm having.
Connie
If you wouldn't mind I would like to see your revised letter just so that I can be prepared. My Dr. tried something that will interesting to see if it works. Although he doesn't think it is needed, nor does he really want to do a surgery to rid me of excess breast tissue he sent it along with the information on the belt lipectomy. His thought process was that due to the hernia that they may feel like they have "won" by not paying for the breast tissue and accepting the BL. He thinks that over time with continued workouts on my chest that the excess skin will deminish quite a bit. I have to admit that it has gotten better as I was quite concerned about it for awhile. I have gone from a nearly B cup to a training bra size. And no I didn't measure, but long ago I worked as a retail manager so I know about bra sizes. Besides, nothing better then going to VS to pick up a little something for the wife that is also for Daddy.
