Plastic Sugery consult
You all have been so supportive in the past, so here I come once again to ask that you send positive energy my way. I see the PS on Friday and I'm excited and a bit apprehensive. I need and want to rid myself of this baggage around my middle that makes me gag when I look in the mirror, but apprehensive about the procedure and recovery. Plus there is the whole concern about what I will do once I'm 100% grade A beef and a complete stud. I'm a stud now of course, but I'm more of a fatty pot roast then a TBone.
Your in my prayers that everything will come through for you just fine with your meeting at the TT doctor. Your gonna do great! They will mark you up just like they do a side of beef in preparation for that surgery too! Hey thats gonna be pretty expensive beef! You'll have to figure out once you get all the costs of what it will be per pound! Keep us posted one of these days I'll save up enough to get mine done too. Good luck and god bless, pam
You crack me up. I laughed so hard my husband had to come and peek over my shoulder. Okay, so my scoop on the TT having just been through it. I can say sitting here right now that I feel terrific, better than I have in 3 weeks. My surgery was exactly 3 weeks ago today. Bear in mind, Ken, that I had a massive hernia repair so my post-op pain was just terrible and is only now getting better. I have a feeling you will sail through this. I marvel at the change, truly, it's amazing. Not beautiful by any means, I'm stitched fully vertical and fully horizontal and those scars will be a part of me forever. My abdominal region is flat -- COMPARATIVELY SPEAKING -- certainly not "washboard" flat or anything like you'll see in any number of exercise infomercials. I will never be a "beautiful" sort of slim, but to not have that tummy hang anymore is truly amazing. There is a sort of rollover where the stitching meets, if that makes sense. Not a perfectly straight, flat scar (the horizontal one from hip to hip) -- there's an overlap so that if I wear a 2-piece bathing suit, you can see that roll through the material. It's not perfect by any means so what I'm trying to say is talk to your surgeon in your consult. Make sure he knows what you are hopeful to achieve and make sure he tells you exactly what to expect. See if he has some before/after shots of other patients he can show you. As for the procedure, you'll do fine! Then you can take your studly self out into the world and accomplish wonderful, new and exciting things with your new life! Love to you, Reenie
Hey Ken....
On the subject of your "Studliness".....I'm not even going there Pal! LOL
I'll leave that up to the lovely ladies! I do, however want to wish you good luck on your journey into the TT world. I've got too much going on in my life right now to take the time and spend the money. I'm about to start looking at colleges for my younger daughter. The older one is also still in college, so you know where my money goes!!! I hope to give it a go early next year. You have all of my best wishes for successful surgery and fast recovery when you do take this next step. Take care and good luck.
Mike
