PROTEIN IDEAS

I know there are a lot of various ptotein drinks out there. I heard that vitalady.com will send samples. Personally I've gotten to really like Shaklee's unfavored instant soy protein powder. I mix it with either a small gass of sugar free juice or yogurt - or use it in my baking. 2TB is 16g of protein. It adds a texture sort of but not really a flavor and the stuff really grows on you. I have at least 4 TB a day plus my other protein. I know that UNJURY also makes a flavorless pwder that can be mixed with stuff, but I didn't like it as much. Good luck in finding something you like.

4 oz. (1/2 cup) Whole Fruit no sugar added Strawberry Sorbet
1 scoop strawberry protein powder
ice cubes
blend ingredients in blender

depending on yogurt and protein used will depend on your nutrition numbers...but i used dannon strawberry yogurt (not the light kind...i didn't have any when i invented this) and designer whey strawberry protein. and this is my nutrition numbers

I haven't tried it, but thought you might be interested. Make sure that you get something made with whey instead of soy protein as it is more digestible for us rny types. Don't bother with anything more than 35 grams of protein at a time as you can't process more than 35 grams at a time.
Personally, I'm a fan of Pria bars as a snack. Watch the sugar if you're sensitive. My favorite is the chocolate mint because they don't have too much aftertaste and remind me of Girl Scout Thin Mints.

I get an adkins protein bar that is 150 calories, 15 grams of protein, 2 carbs with only 3 grams of sugar alchol. its like a granola bar with chocolate chip[s on top. i have one a day. i also get some protein soy chruncy crackers in a salt vinegar flavor that is to die for! but you are probably staying away from salty things right now. good luck and god bless, pam
