This week has been horrific. I know I have made bad eating choices, no gym time at all. BOTH my kids AND my Dh have been sick this week and I ended up with A RAGING UTI! Anyway, I am on antibiotics and feeling better but I weighed this morning and gained like 5 pounds??? Could this be water and whatnot from the antibiotics and the UTI??? I very nearly fainted! My weight throughout the month (for the last 3-4 months anyway) goes between 161-165 depending on my cycle. SO THIS SCARES ME! I know I have to hit the gym and focus on my eating but could I REALLY have gained 5 pounds in a week????? OH man...I am freaked out...gonna do liquid protein tomorrow and hit it hard thru July! UGH! OH I finally did decide on a taget weight of 145-150. Of course NOW it is even farther away! I would LOVE to be there my Thanksgiving! Off to drink some H2O now! Nic 291/169/150

Easy does it, Nic, it sounds like this weight gain is a little of everything you've mentioned -- all of which is temporary. Reenie

Take a deep breath & don't panic. I fight 4 to 6 lbs every month. So I know how you feel. Antibiotics will cause the weight gain & I am sure it is only temporary. Once you get off the drugs your weight will be back on the losing side. Marilyn, the Bearlady

Hey Nic....don't panic.....You're almost certainly holding some water. 5 pounds that fast can't be all real weight. Just get back on your program and things will improve. Take care and stay positive. Mike

First of all---DON'T PANIC!! Five pounds isn't much, but it is a good wake up call when we don't follow the things we're supposed to do. If you go back to your normal diet, things will calm down and the weight will come off. We know how to keep ourselves in check...this is part of the tool we were given. You'll be fine once things settle down and you're back to your normal eating/working out/living habits! Joanie
