Why don't you ask your doctor what he wants you to eat? Remember, no drinking with meals, no snacking and protein first. Didn't your surgeon send you to a nutritionist to educate you on what you should eat? Its easy for him to tell you to lose the weight, but he should make sure you are aware of what you should and shouldn't eat. You should call him for more info. Good luck....you're doing great! Joan

LUcia, Are you doing any exercising? That helps with the stress quite a bit & its doing something else besides eating. Keep the bad stuff out of your house. Tell your family they have to consider you at this time & you need there help as well. If you are hungry eat protein stay away from carb foods they will make you more hungry. Drink more water in between meals that helps with keeping you not hungry too!! Good luck & hope this helps you a little. I think you have done great so far. You will be fine. Marilyn, the Bearlady

What you eat does make a difference. If you eat protein (mostly meat, eggs, dairy), after a few days you will not crave sweets nearly as much and you won't be as hungry. Especially after this surgery, eating high carbohydrate food (sugar, flour, potatoes, bread, etc.) makes you feel tired and hungry, so we eat more. It is a bad cycle. The way to break it is to eat protein--lots of it. Add to that, some low calorie vegetables for variety and nutrition and you have an eating plan. If you will add in a low calorie protein shake it will actually help you lose. Be sure to take your vitamins too. You have lost a lot. You just need to refocus and do the things that made you successful in the first place. You are always welcome here for encouragment. Hang in there! Joy
