My latest little trip....klutz!!!
Last Tuesday morning I tripped on a cord fell in my kitchen while carrying an empty glass. The glass broke and all but cut-off the index finger of
my left hand (I'm right handed) and severely cut my middle finger. I'll
be having micro-surgery within the next few days to reattach the tendons, nerves, veins and artery in my index finger on my left hand. It appears that my middle finger is ok but he says he'll open it up and look
around just do be sure. After that I'll be doing a load of hand
therapy to try to achieve a tiny bit of normal. He say's the index
finger will never be close to what it was...most likely I'll not
have any feeling on the palm side of the finger above the knuckle
and movement will be very limited. I don't yet know where I'll be having surgery, depends on what facility Tricare approves.
Typing in a real unique experience...with only 2 functional fingers
on my left hand...I never was a great typist but now I really
suck!!
Boy when I do something I go for broke!!
Prayers and positive thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Happy thoughts,
Va

Hey Va.......Big hugs and lots of positive Vibes coming your way. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!! By the way, when I had facial surgery to repair facial lacerations following a car accident in 1995, the surgeon said that I would lose most of the movement of the eyebrow and other areas around my left eye due to nerve damage. I have regained all of it!! Don't lose faith, sometimes the body fools even the best doctors!!!!
