SOS -- FEELING VERY AFRAID
Reenie,
I've been there - done that. I've had the TT and the Butt lift. The TT won't be much different than your C-Section. The drains will be your biggest challenge...For my TT I had two for 7 days...and for my Butt lift I had 1 for 10 days. The TT drains were more of a problem because of where they were...yep way down THERE. Actual incision pain was not a problem at all. Your tummy will feel like you did about 1000 sit-ups the day before...just sore. Pain meds are good...make sure and take them on schedule...makes you a lot easier to live with!!!
Let me know if you have more questions.

The only regret I have was letting the swelling get ahead of me...now my TT scar has tripled in width along the front. Rest as often as you can in the coming weeks. The more you are horizontal the less you will swell.
My satisfaction with the results reflects on the statement mentioned above...swelling and the stretching of my scar. Other than that my DH and I are very happy with the results of both surgeries.
Take care and let me know if you have any questions once you get home.

You are going to be absolutely fine. Fear is normal. I think you feel different about this one as opposed to the WLS because you're not the same person you were before WLS. We've all seen, witnessed and experienced a lot in this past year and a half or so. One thing I did before WLS is that I never thought about the exact procedure itself---the process of how the surgery is done. I only knew how I felt and I was positive on how I was going to feel once the weight was off. As if you're not gorgeous enough now, you are going to be rock star gorgeous after the surgery. Connie's right (as usual). Think of the pain as temporary...and take the pain meds. You'll need them and that's what they're there for. Don't wait for the pain to get crazy before you take it. Reenie, you've always been very positive throughout all of your posts and I know you're going to go into this with your head on straight. I'm rooting for you....

As always, Maureen, there's lots of good sound logic coming from the Marchers. I don't have anything to add to the wisdom already expressed in the preceding replies, but I just wanted to offer my best wishes and remind you that I'm here for you. You will do just fine, my friend. Try to relax and think of how much better you'll look and feel without the extra luggage. Feel free to e-mail or phone if you need a shoulder.

Reenie -
Yes, I'm still here! I still lurk from time to time and I always check in to see how everyone is doing.
I can certainly understand your fear. If you didn't have some reservations about going under the knife, I'd be worried. There is something to be said about having a healthy respect for the risks associated with any type of surgery. You have been through so much and come so far. You deserve to be happy in your own skin - just less of your own skin!
You will be fine. You have strong faith and all of us Marchers will be praying for you. We love you and are here for you always (even if some of us just lurk and stick our heads in from time to time!).
Please let us know how you're doing. I hope to have PS sometime in the next year - once I get down a few more pounds. ;o) I'm gonna do it!!
Take care, sweetie and know that I'm here for ya!
Miss and love you!
