It's been 1 month since belt lipectomy

Hi Guys, Just wanted to update that it's been 1 month since my belt lipectomy. It was not easy. In fact I feel it hurt more than my gastric bypass. Everybody is different but I have no regrets. I am still swollen. The doctor said the swelling will go down in about 3-6 months. I have also been scheduled for my breast and arms for 7/15/05. I am excited about that surgery because I would love to wear a sleevless shirt one day. My girlfriend had it done and she was washing dishes on her second day home...so I think I will be okay. I don't care about the scar underneath...I'll be happy just with a short sleeve shirt. I also wanted to apologize to those who have asked me questions and I have not answered. I only have access to a computer at work and it's been kind of crazy here lately. I wanted to answer Reenie's question about what insurance I have. I have Blue Advantage HMO - It is an HMO and everything requires approval through your doctor and Medical Group...well it's also a covered benefit through my insurance but if it's not approved by my doctor or medical group it will not get paid. My HMO covered 100% of the surgery - well except that I have a $250 copayment for inpatient stays and that's okay - I could handle the $250. Edna what good news to hear you are doing well! I am jealous that your insurance covered it so well! That is so awesome for you!! My sister had her arms done and gets really nervous about the scars still. I will tell her she needs your point of view...ITS ALL GOOD! nic 291/161/150
